Colts down Brockville 6-3 in exhibition play
The Cornwall Colts played their second pre-season game of the year on Sunday night at the Ed Lumley Arena. The Colts beat the Brockville Braves 6-3 in front of an announced crowd of 650 people. Youssef Kabbaj opened the scoring for the Colts on the powerplay before the game was five minutes old.

Cornwall - Aug. 29, 2011 - The Cornwall Colts played their second pre-season game of the year on Sunday night at the Ed Lumley Arena. The Colts beat the Brockville Braves 6-3 in front of an announced crowd of 650 people.

Youssef Kabbaj opened the scoring for the Colts on the powerplay before the game was five minutes old. A minute and a half later, David Roy tied it at 1-1 for the Braves. The rest of the period belonged to the Spink twins as they combined for another three goals to give the Colts a 4-1 lead after the first period.

The teams exchanged goals in the second with Michael Borkowski scoring for the Colts and David Ferriera replied for the Braves. Cornwall’s Tyson Spink and Brockville’s Ben Blasko rounded out the scoring in the third.

Tyson Spink had four points, Tylor Spink had five points and Borkowski also netted five points. The three Colts were the game’s three stars. Lucas Hafner handled the goaltending duties for the Colts and made 32 saves. Colts outshot their opponent 41-35.

Next action for the Colts is Thursday night, when they host the Hawkesbury Hawks.
