Edmonton - Aug. 10, 2011 - The Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club announced today they have concluded a host broadcaster agreement with Corus Radio through the end of the 2013/14 NHL season. This contract builds on a relationship between the Oilers and Corus that has broadcast every Oilers game since 1995. The Oilers game night radio show featuring the play-by-play team of Jack Michaels and Bob Stauffer will continue being broadcast on 630 CHED, the flagship station of Corus in Oil Country.

An exciting new addition to the Oilers and Corus partnership will be the debut of "Oilers NOW with Bob Stauffer" on 630 CHED commencing Monday, August 22nd. Oilers NOW will be a unique format in Oil Country, focused almost exclusively on the Oilers, NHL & WHL, and hockey in general. Bob is well known for his insights, opinions, and vast connections with the who’s who of hockey.

"CORUS is the market leader in news and sports radio in Oil Country and our fans will be pleased to know they can stay tuned to everything the Oilers do or say by keeping their radio locked onto 630 CHED all day long," Oilers President Patrick LaForge said.

"We’re thrilled to be moving forward with a new three-year agreement and continuing our partnership with the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club," said Doug Rutherford, Vice President and General Manager, Corus Radio Alberta. "We welcome Bob Stauffer to 630 CHED daily and look forward to the hockey expertise he will bring to our program."
