On Saturday, March 17th the Lancaster Curling Club celebrated St. Paddy's Day with a Bonspiel that revealed the Irish ancestry of many a curler. Green buttons, scarves, hats and even hair and beards abounded.

Lancaster - Mar. 20, 2012 - On Saturday,March 17th the Lancaster Curling Club celebrated St. Paddy's Day with a Bonspiel that revealed the Irish ancestry of many a curler. Green buttons, scarves, hats and even hair and beards abounded. Mac Edwards organized the fun day of curling; the winners of the event are as follows:

A delicious dinner of corned beef and cabbage with potatoes and carrots,was prepared by Carol Edwards and her assistant chef, Graham Wells. Lillian Klazinga was also in the kitchen helping with the preparation.

The dinner was topped off with an Apple Cake served with a special "whiskey sauce"!! These were made by Carol Edwards and Wendy Wert.

Andre Flaro and Heather McDonald joined the kitchen crew later to help with the clean up.

Ian McIntosh and his team of helpers looked after the bar and thanks are also extended to the other members who helped with the decorations. The event was a great success.
