Big Blocks run this Sunday at Cornwall Motor Speedway
One of the biggest events of the season will happen this Sunday, July 3rd at Cornwall Motor Speedway with the Big Blocks Super DIRTcar Series in town. Superstars like current series points leader Billy Decker, Matt Sheppard, Brett Hearn, Jimmy Phelps, Australian sensation Pete Britten, Jimmy Phelps, Dale Planck, Justin Hears, and others will be in town.

Cornwall - Jun. 29, 2011 - One of the biggest events of the season will happen this Sunday, July 3rd at Cornwall Motor Speedway with the Big Blocks Super DIRTcar Series in town. The Modified catergory will be in action for a 100-lap feature race with the Pro-Stock, Semi-Pro and Mini-Stock also on the schedule with the Sportsman having the night off. Home Hardware Alexandria will be the major sponsor for this exciting evening.

Superstars like current series points leader Billy Decker, Matt Sheppard, Brett Hearn, Jimmy Phelps, Australian sensation Pete Britten, Jimmy Phelps, former track champion, Dale Planck, Justin Hears, Pat O’Brien and many others will be in town to compete against our local heroes Stéphane Lafrance, Laurent Ladouceur, Carey Terrance, Tim O’Brien, Joel Doiron, Luke Whitteker, Danny O’Brien and company. Several invaders from Quebec and Ontario are expected to get the winner`s purse of $6,000.

This race will be the fourth in the Super DIRTcar Series; Decker is currently the man to beat with 2 wins in a row at Canandaigua and Orange County. Former Cornwall regular, Tim Fuller has won the initial race during the All-Star Week-end at Rolling-Wheels Raceway.

Along with the Modifieds, the Pro-Stock will be in action for a regular 20-lap feature race, again this year; the strongest field of cars is in competition every week in this class. The Semi-Pro with 15 laps and Mini-Stock with twelve are also on the schedule.

Pit gates will open at 3:30pm, the pit ticket booth will be open at 3pm. General admission will be open at 4pm. Modified Time-Trials will start at 5:30pm with the first heats scheduled at 6pm.
