Cornwall - Dec. 5, 2011 - Sergeant Thom Racine, a 30-year veteran with the Cornwall Community Police Service, has recently written a book called Constable Davey - A Future Lost.

The 226 page book takes the reader through the horrific events of Sept.6, 1892, when Constable Davey's life was tragically cut short. The book tells the story of Davey's family, his three sons and three of his brothers as they make their lives in Cornwall, Buffalo and South Texas during the turn of the century (circa 1900). The book also delves into other key players on that fateful day and provides a grisly account of the killer's execution. Sgt. Racine also provides insight on the amazing coincidences that he uncovered during his research for the book.

Racine will be busy promoting his book this week. Tomorrow, he will be hosting the Official Lunch and Launch of new book from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m at Casa Paolo Restaurante located at 1600 Vincent Massey Drive.

On Wednesday December 7th, Racine will guest on CTV Morning Live where he will be interviewed and talk about his new book. On Thursday December 8th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm he will host a Special autograph session at the Cornwall Public Library, 45 Second East.

The hard cover edition is available for $39.95, while the soft cover version will sell for $24.95. You can buy the book by visiting ThomRacine.com

I have placed my order with Thom and I look forward to reading this book. His book will make a great Christmas gift! Why not pick up a copy or three for the people on your list!
