Versace has done what seems to be the unthinkable
Donatella Versace has done what seems to be the unthinkable. The super high-end fashion designer has collaborated with the affordable and trendy clothing store, H+M. Mississauga - November 18, 2011 - Donatella Versace has done what seems to be the unthinkable. The super high-end fashion designer has collaborated with the affordable and trendy clothing store, H&M.

The 70-piece collection will be released on Nov 19 at the Toronto Eaton Centre, Yorkdale and Bloor Street locations. Prices for the line of clothing and accessories range from $19.95 to $299.

“I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching its wide audience,” Donatella Versace said in a statement.

The collection offers women and men’s clothing, jewelry and bags and shoes as well as a few items for your home, like pillows and sheets. The clothing offers several different types of fabrics and embellishments like studs, leather, sequins and fringe.

The pieces are very loud, extremely bright and colourful with interesting and unique patterns. A pair of men’s pants is covered in alligators and a sweater covered in palm trees.

People hoping to shop this collection on Saturday will have to follow strict rules to prevent people from purchasing multiples of the same items. The first 280 in line will receive one of 14 different colored bracelets. The bracelet tells you a specific time slot for shopping in a designated area. When your time slot arrives, you have 15 minutes to shop in your designated area.

A purchase limit is in place to ensure that every customer can buy from the entire collection. You can only buy two of the same product and no more than that.

“Our goal is to create a better shopping experience for all of our customers,” H&M said in the official “How to Shop” guidelines at hm.com.
