Ottawa - Aug. 25, 2011 - The Canadian flag on the Peace Tower was at half-mast Wednesday as thousands ascended Parliament Hill to pay their respects to Jack Layton. I saw Olivia Chow, and she is holding up as best as any one can expect during this very difficult time. Canadians have found many creative ways to express their feelings towards Jack Layton. A makeshift memorial of orange balloons, orange crush soda cans, flowers, signs, teddy bears, chalk writing, and candles was organized near the eternal flame.
